Co-authors

Article L.113-2 paragraph 1 of the Intellectual Property Code states that: "Is so-called collaboration, the work to the creation of which have contributed several persons."

But how to ensure that the work to which many people contributed according to their jurisdiction is properly protected and that each of the co-authors can clearly see their rights respected.

To be sure it is indeed a collaborative work, we need people who participated, did so on equal terms. Moreover in terms of audiovisual work, joint work, Article L.113-7 al 2 of the Intellectual Property Code raises a presumption of Co-authors for the author the scenario, the author of the adaptation, the author of the dialogue, the author of the musical composition when it is specially designed for the work and finally director.

MaPreuve service considers the situation of co-authors, with the ability to "protect several" works. All co-authors may be granted their rights on the same work; rights will be exercised thereafter as the unanimity rule.
